Diwali For Kids

Diwali is a holiday season for kids who get vacations to celebrate this religious festival with friends, families, neighbors and their loved ones. Diwali brings happiness,excitement and get-together to share our Hindu customs and traditions through the means of such festivals. 

For Kids, Diwali is a time to have loads of sweets, gifts, new clothes, gadgets, crackers, variety food and plenty time to enjoy each day of diwali festival. Kids help their families in Deepawali preparations from cleaning to decorating puja ghar. Bhai Dooj is special for girls who tie red thread on their brother's wrist and ask for gift and cash in return to their prayer towards god for her brother's wellness.

Traditions Of Diwali Firecrackers

The loud bang of Fireworks append a specialzing in a festival. The amazing combination of colorful lights and sound fill the atmosphere with the aura of jubilation. In India, people express their happiness by bursting firecrackers. Be it the occasion of Independence Day, a wedding, New Year party or its the celebrations of the nation winning the Cricket match, one can hear the sounds of firecrackers all over. Diwali FirecrackersHowever, during the Satyuga, when Lord Rama returned to Ayodhya, no firecrackers existed. People commemorated their heroic king by lighting oil filled lamps (diyas). The origin of Fireworks can be traced back in China. Enjoying the event with Fireworks is a modern mantra.
While the other festivals of Diwali like performing puja, lighting lamps, drawing Rangoli or beautifying the homes are basically to invite Goddess Lakshmi & Lord Ganesha (significantly). On the other hand, universally, it is believed that Firecrackers are burst in order to drive away the evil spirits. This is the theory of belief. But another scientific reason for bursting Fireworks is that it kills the insects & mosquitoes, which grow in number after the rainy season.

While they light up the Amavasya night of Diwali, Firecrackers have been amidst controversy since last two-three decades. It has become a major cause of spreading pollution in the atmosphere. During Diwali, Anti Cracker Campaigns are on their full swing. Government too orders only a restricted selling of Firecrackers. Not only it harms the environment, but its also the reason of raising Child Labour in India. Many unprivileged children die of suffocation and other breathing diseases while working in Firecracker factories.

Diwali continues to be the symbol of triumph of good over evil. If we celebrate the occasion by indulging more in activities, Diwali will not lose it's charm and nor will it be cause of any harm. We can organize Diwali Fests and Fairs to express our mirth and enthusiasm. Bursting Fireworks within certain limits is fine. After all they are the sign of enthusiasm and effervescence everybody is filled with on the festival of Diwalienjoying firecrackers on diwali night

Diwali games

Playing of cards is the most important Diwali game. People from affluent and rich society as well as hailing from middle-class play the game of cards the whole night to celebrate the unique festivity of Diwali. It is in fact the legendary game for the Diwali celebration. According to Hindu mythology, on the eve of Diwali, Goddess Parvati played the game of cards with her husband Lord Shiva. Hence, it is believed that whoever played cards or participated in gambling would be blessed with prosperity and good luck.

In fact, some of the people of North India believe that if an individual wins while gambling on Diwali, he or she would be successful throughout year and would have wealth coming his or her way. Some others also believe that if a person does not gamble on the day of Diwali, then he/she would be reincarnated as a donkey in his/her next life. This is unlikable, as the donkey carries heavy loads on his back throughout his life. On the other hand, some people gamble on Diwali in order to focus of the unpredictability of Goddess Lakshmi and Lady Luck. They believe that this will create a sense of balance in monetary success.

Various Diwali games are the center of attraction for both children and elders. Cracking of fireworks is also interesting game for children. Even elders actively participate in enjoying aerial fireworks and other crackers. Some of the people also organize grand Diwali celebration party where they organize for different games for children as well as for elders. It can group game like playing Lotto Housie or musical chairs. Drum-charad is also one of the favorite games. Besides, playing 'antakshari' is the oldest of all the games and every individual loves to be a part of it.

There is a wide collection of games in the market during the Diwali that can be given as Diwali gifts. Children will love to receive Diwali games. It will show your love and affection to your near and dear ones. It is form of showing your warmth and affection.
