Diwali and Christmas both are celebrated in their respective native countries with great celebrations, preparations and excitement as the main festive season of the year. Both these religious holidays are made special to the World with lighting thats why people say diwali is a festival of lights and christmas is also a festival of lighting when people express their feeling for their festivals by lighting their houses, garden areas, temple, market and other prominent places with colorful lights, bulbs and LED lights.
During Diwali, special religious symbols like swastik, Om and more are designed with lighted candles and diyas. Even they are placed in temple or puja ghar. With Christmas festival, people express their happiness by hanging colorful and glittering lights on christmas tree, garden, roof and other places. Hence, we can say that diwali and christmas are festival of lights.
